Quaint Japanese Inn dinner in SF

Dinner @ Izakaya Rintaro in San Francisco for 4 (including me, your host). Have wanted to try this acclaimed Izakaya Japanese place. There is a Set Menu ($90) which has at least 8 dishes (too much for me) and the ENTIRE TABLE must order it. Thus, I'd prefer to go a la carte on this one.

The a la carte dishes are shareable for 2 diners; so we can just have enough and, hopefully, still come out ahead $$-wise than if we were to each order the Set Menu.
First three SFoodies to advance me $25 Reservation fee (using Venmo or Zelle) holds their place. (I normally don't drink--but I would be up for one small cup of good sake.)
UPDATE: OK, here's the final list of the first 3 diners who sent me their $25 deposit: Eddie B, Carol and Christina. Finessing the list I find quite difficult--so I put it here.
