The Progress - Family Style Dining (Deposit required)

Let's dine family style at a semi-private table overlooking the kitchen at the acclaimed restaurant, The Progress, just one flight of stairs above the dining room. The Progress is part The Atomic Workshop Restaurant Group, which also owns State Bird Provisions and The Anchovy Bar.

Located around the corner from the epoch-making Fillmore Theater, this sunny NorCal-meets-Nordic destination is as disarming as it is ambitious. The space is two stories of wood, stone and tile with greenery and skylights throughout, and an eager crowd flocks here for all occasions. Colorful, vibrant dishes designed for sharing rise to the formidable task of tasting as good as they look, so order with abandon. Original, boldly seasoned plates, like burrata with fried butter beans and Yerena Farms strawberries, or seaweed noodles with brown butter and dashi, are promising starts. Somebody has to order the Liberty Farms duck, a show-stopping feast complete with a mountain of crispy, peanut fried rice that draws eyes as it moves through the dining room.

The chefs will create the menu on the day of the reservation. It will feature seasonal highlights and Progress favorites. The menu consists of three courses, served family style, plus chef snacks to start and dessert to finish. Those with dietary restrictions will be served an altered or alternate course as needed.

The reservation is guaranteed by my credit card. A deposit of $150.40 to cover food, SF health mandate, and tax is required to change your status from Waitlist to Attending. Per restaurant policy, cancellations before noon on September 14 will receive a full refund. Cancellations after that point will be refunded only if another diner is able to take over your reservation.

Beverages, additional individual dishes, taxes on those items, and gratuity will be the responsibility of each diner and will be collected at the end of the meal.

Organizer will manage one singular bill and form of payment for the check. Please be prepared to pay the organizer by Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, Paypal, or cash.
