"It's always been here" for me Pier 23 is a classic where I enjoy soaking in the sunshine during our San Francisco Summer, eating fresh seafood and trying their other new and San Francisco classic dishes.
Our office in Levi Plaza would come here for team lunch, and I would often catch an early dinner before walking home to Pac Heights.
Their fish and chips is a huge portion and always good, as are their fish tacos and hamburger. they also have a signature beer, one of my favorites.
it's low stress, and just fun.
Pier 23 Cafe has been featured on Food TV's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and in other television programs.
There may be live music, should be airplanes. Come watch the airshow with me, probably leave before the end and walk up to Pier 39 or so.
Minutiae
Weather says "Sunny", so dress casual, bring sunscreen if you need, hat and sunglasses. Air Show is occasionally loud.

Entree's range from $14-$28. Estimated Cost of food is $35, not including tax and tip. Alcoholic drinks can easily increase this estimate.
Dress is smart casual
Taxes and Restaurant Fees
Dining in San Francisco has a sales tax (8.625%) and probably an employee health mandate (3-10%), a tip (20%) may be automatically added, even on individual bills, if not we expect a 20% minimum tip to be paid for individual bills. We will try to get separate checks, but remember to bring cash.
Each diner is responsible for their own orders and costs but we will have to consolidate and divvy up the final bill accordingly.
Please bring cash or have Zelle or Apple Cash available.
Transportation to Pier 23

Finding street parking around Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 is usually impossible, especially during Fleet Week.
Parking garages can be found nearby, but may be full because of Fleet Week.
