Web Standards: Pushing the Web Forward with Divya Manian
Details
About the Talk
We are at the throes of something amazing and powerful that the webmakes available, but it needs our help! Not all proposals are helpful, and not all problems are seen as challenges by those who implement web standards. Standards evolve as a dialog with its vital audience: the developers. Learn how to contribute, give feedback, and be vocal about the change you want to see on the Web.
In this talk you will learn:
What are the set of specifications that drive the Web What constitutes a specification and how to read it The process behind the evolution of a HTML specification How you can contribute to specifications The design principles that drive HTML API design How to contribute effectively Some people worth following who work on these specifications About the Speaker
