Hello Pythonistas! We're having another Project Night!
There will be 3 project breakouts:
- CodeFlash - a tool to optimize Python code. Bring your Python code to see what performance benefits CodeFlash can provide. CEO Saurabh Misra will lead the session.
- Streamlit Tutorial - Ari Lamstein . This tutorial walks you through creating and deploying a data app in Python using Streamlit .
- How Many Pizzas - this is a little demo and learning project from SF Python Meetup to predict the number of attendees for a meetup event. The goal is to determine "how many pizzas" (or other culinary delights) to order for an upcoming meetup, given that we have to put in an order a few days in advance. Historical meetup data will be provided in a GitHub repo, as well as a basic program framework. In addition to being generally useful, it also serves as an example for those wanting to begin data science/ML/statistics type projects.
Also, feel free to bring your own project to work on. Everyone is welcome to give a short (~1-3 minute) intro and have their own breakouts.
We will also host a more general "office hours" session. Come with your Python questions or discussion topics. All are welcome, from getting "Hello World" running to developing full libraries and applications.
Please support our sponsors GitHub!
👉 As usual, submit your 5, 15 or 25 mins talk proposals for future meetups here: https://bit.ly/bapyacfp
As pizza and drinks will be provided.
