Abstract: Spreadsheets/CSVs are the World's Database, but they can have a vicious streak a mile wide. We'll discuss how to avoid the Gorge of Eternal Peril when using other's data.

Data Pipeline Scorecard
Speaker: Lisa Dusseault, CTO@Data Transform Initiative
Abstract: We talk about tools for data pipelines as if all data projects need the same tools. As soon as we think about this however, it's clear that data projects differ considerably in internal complexity, scale challenges, sensitivity and other ops challenges. We'll share a scorecard we've been working on to compare projects, and discuss some Python tools that are more or less appropriate for different kinds of projects.
