The EASE INITIATIVE business model and its leverage of social technologies

Join us for our first ever Tech4Good meeting in Oakland, held at the ‘Festa/Manifesta premises at 9th and Broadway!

Susan Mills, EASE’s (http://www.easeinitiative.com/) founder and CEO, will lead a conversation about the EASE Initiative - an innovative way that business and commerce activities can blend with philanthropy to create shared prosperity for everyone. It is a social enterprise business that creates cause-related economic and social growth (for causes like universities, disaster response and recovery, regional food systems, business alliances, anything).

Will learn about how EASE enables buying/selling/advertising to become a new type of partner to social and community causes. The result is that no good business or program need ever run short of resources, ideas and opportunities to make positive change.

We'll also learn how the EASE approach can be applied to any large cause to inform and engage participants in the cause’s purpose, track and report progress of participants, and generate sustained funding for any type of program, project or business aligned with the cause. When the EASE model is applied to a large-scale, complex issue it can (once set up) move innovation forward without politics, changes to laws or policies, or ongoing funding challenges.

Schedule:

• 6:30 PM: Doors open - time for networking and snacks

• 7:00-8:00PM: Susan presents and during/after we have a Q&A

• 8:00-8:30PM: more networking, more snacking, clean up and go home.
