Please note that you must have a ticket from Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tech-for-good-interactive-workshop-tickets-13215575141) to attend. RSVP'ing on Meetup alone will not get you in.* (see below for details)
How can we better articulate (tech/for good) needs/projects so that (for good/tech) orgs can better implement a vision?
At this event, participants from for-good organizations and techies will collaborate at roundtables of 3-5 people per table for some facilitated brainstorming & problem solving. There will be plenty of time for talking to people from "the other side of the table" - this is not a panel discussion, it's 100% Q&A.
Participants from nonprofits and social enterprises will learn more about effectively communicating social impact projects to techies.
Techies (data scientists, engineers, etc.) will learn specific ways to better contribute their skills "for good."
Refreshments and light food will be provided.
5:30 registration and food
6:00-7:45 interactive groups
7:45-8:30 networking time
*The event is $5, with an RSVP here on Meetup and a signup on Eventbrite (http://bit.ly/SFN2Sept2014BI): https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tech-for-good-interactive-workshop-tickets-13215575141
• The majority of the proceeds will go to a 501(c)(3) to be named. (Any suggestions?)
