The non-profit organization, BSR (http://www.bsr.org/), is hosting a Sustainability Hackathon (http://hackathon.bsr15.org/) from September 17th-October 17th as part of their annual BSR Conference (http://bsr15.org/), one of the largest and most influential events dedicated to sustainable business. In 2013 (http://www.meetup.com/sfnetsquared/events/146814572/) an SFN2 member was part of the 3rd prize team! We're lucky to be able to help them again, so SFN2, step up!

The hackathon will take place over the course of one month, allowing for both virtual and international participants. Since it's virtual, they are kicking it off with a live event in SF (as well as events in NYC and San Diego).

The SF Kickoff Reception is on September 17th from 6-9PM at Impact Hub, 901 Mission Street, Suite 105.

If you’re interested in the hackathon, register here (http://hackathon.bsr15.org/register)! The top five teams will be invited to pitch virtually on a webinar to the esteemed panel of judges on October 26. The winning team will be announced shortly thereafter, and the top team will be flown out to San Francisco for the opportunity to present to more than 1,000 sustainability professionals at the BSR Conference 2015 (http://bsr15.org/). Cash prizes (up to $5,000 for first place) will be awarded for the best ideas created, particularly with a focus on the theme of “Transformative Technology.”
