Yes, it's time to put on those hiking shoes again, burn those unwanted calories and thereafter, Lol ... embark on a Durian Feast/ Food adventure to try the best Muar Street Food, Otah, Cafe-hopping, Local Products Shopping, Night-Market, Fishing Village etc. before relaxing & soaking those tired legs at a nearby Hot-Spring.
Our weekend adventure starts with a nice 2.5hr Hike at BT MOR where there are both easy & some challenging trails for you to have a good workout. Or you can just relax, take a stroll under the palm-trees and soak in the greenery, nature or just enjoy the laidback kampong ambience & spirit with the locals.
However this 2D Weekend Getaway is not just about hiking & having a good workout. Cos after the fulfilling hike, your reward is a Food & Fun Adventure after we've checked-in to unwind at a laid-back Malaysian Old Kampong Town - MUAR!
Yes MUAR is one of the most popular laid-back towns in Malaysia after Malacca to be visited and explored for its delicious and cheap local food, coffee, shopping and historical buildings from the pre-war days.
1950's - 1960's OLD SHOP HOUSES! Coffee shops and street stalls lined up along colored coded shop-houses and streets makes an interesting nostalgic sight bringing back beautiful memories of the good old days in Singapore during the 60s. Because of the street's unique and artistic architecture, this town is also one of the location spots for the filming of Singapore's The Little Nonya.
GLORIOUS STREET FOOD! - Local Muar Otah, Char-kway teow, Or-chien, Chee cheong fun, HK Congee, Carrot cake, Hainanese Chicken Rice Ball, Chwee kway, Bak-kut Teh, Tim-sum etc. awaits all food lovers!

PASAR MALAM - And if we are lucky, there may just be a Pasar Malam (Night Market) there for us to mingle with the locals and try some local snacks.
CAFE-HOPPING - For those who are unaware, coffee bean and coffee powder of Muar is the top favourite among the locals and tourists. A standard traditional breakfast includes a cup of Muar coffee, the butter and kaya spread roti bakar (bread toast) and half-boiled egg. Good old 60's style. And there's where we'll be checking out for our Cafe-Hopping!
STREET ART & MURALS - Muar is also a photographer's dream place if you love to take photos of the Street Art, Murals, rustic carefree life-style of the locals, and forgotten buildings that have seen better days.
PARIT JAWA - A nice sea-side fishing village and the coast is an important stopover and winter feeding ground for 60 bird species of migratory birds including egret, eagle, heron, sandpiper, swift and kingfisher, and efforts is being taken togazet the area as a bird sanctuary. There are many sea food joints, grilled fish and assam pedas stalls and restaurants in this village serving nice delicious foods.
SUNGEI GERSIK HOT SPRING - Kolam Air Panas Sungai Gersik, the natural wonder of hot springs can be found in the district of Muar, about 10km from Parit Jawa town. The hot spring, with water temperature is estimated at 40 to 70 degree Celsius, was discovered over 100 years ago in the peaty area, was believed to have healing power due to its high sulphur content. The hot spring area has chalet, public amenities like toilets, bath-rooms and parking facilities.
