** SG 60th FIREWORKS & CELEBRATION! (KALLANG RIVER > BISHAN SUNSET STROLL! **

Hey members, what better way to celebrate SG 60th National Day Celebration than to enjoy a lovely evening river stroll with friends & end the night with a spectacular FIREWORKS DISPLAY!

So this coming Sunday evening, instead of Marina Bay, we'll bring you to the HEARTLANDS where the rivers flow as we avoid the crazy crowd, sweat having to jostle for space at Marina Bay a day earlier and instead enjoy A Night of Celebration of songs, fanfare and FIREWORKS DISPLAY at BISHAN SG 60 CARNIVAL & CELEBRATION!

Our route for this evening takes us along the picturesque Kallang River starting from Kallang Mrt. We'll walk on the PCN beside the river heading north past temples, beautiful bridges, old go-downs, factories, schools, parks, streams etc.

This is the first part of our scenic walk which is about 8.5km before we reach the meandering rivers at Bishan Park. After taking views of the sunset and bridges, we'll then proceed to the CELEBRATION Venue where there will be a Carnival Spirit.

We will then break into smaller Groups of 8 to 10pax to have our dinner at the nearby coffeeshops, restaurants, foodcourt before gathering again to watch the GRAND FINALE! Yes, that's the FIREWORKS DISPLAY at 8pm!

Bishan Heartlands Carnival, Celebration & Fireworks Display. There should be perfomances for you to enjoy at the Bishan Open Field located just beside the Bishan Mrt Station.

As 98% of the walk is along the PCN, please wear a nice pair of comfortable walking shoes and bring along your water-bottle to top up along the way. Umbrellas, Hats, sunglasses, sunblock, sunscreen should also be in your list to respond to any weather change.

Ideal Group: 30 pax. (We need Volunteer Leaders to help 'shepherd' the group. Pls WhatsApp David @ 9745 1777 if you would like to assist.)
(Note: This Event is for TLC members only. No Guest allowed. Pls ask your friends to join our TLC Group and RSVP themselves as we need their Hp Nos. to WhatsApp the Event details to them as well as for safety, grouping & contact purposes)

Note: Participants must be able to walk at least 10 km at a leisure to brisk pace if they wish to join us. Otherwise we will not be able to end on time or catch the sunset at Bishan Bridge over the meandering river.

Members who does not provide their Hp Nos when they RSVP (visible only to the Organizer & yourself) shall be removed from the list. Your safety & well-being is our concern. Thanks.
