The Kumano Kodo is an ancient pilgrimage trail in the mountains of Wakayama (south of Kyoto) where nature-lovers can enjoy one of Japan's most famous hiking trail staying in feudal Japan's old traditional guesthouses/ ryokans for a few days. It’s one of the best ways to see & experience Japan’s history, beautiful rural contryside, enjoying onsen baths and understand the ancient religious traditions.
Yes, south of Japan’s ancient capital of Kyōto and bustling Ōsaka lies the Kii Peninsula - the largest peninsula on Japan’s main island of Honshū featuring dramatic sceneries and more than 1,000 years of history as a spiritual centre, with pilgrims ranging from emperors to common folks walking these trails that made up the Kumano Kodō aka the (Kumano Ancient Pilgrimage Trail).
As such, this end March during the lovely cherry-blossom season, we'll be embarking on a 4D soul-searching hiking adventure for you to connect with nature, soak in the surreal beauty of the countryside, and enjoy the spectacular CHERRY-BLOSSOM sakura season in the city of Tanabe, Kobe, Kyoto & the vibrant Osaka metropolis & nightlife. In other words, you get to enjoy the best of both worlds - a surreal thereupeutic 4D nature hike and a picturesque photographic sakura 4D celebration in the various cities during the cherry-blossom season !!!
And of course, not forgetting some of the best sights & attractions that we'll be bringing you to after the scenic Kumano hike in Tanabe, Kobe, Kyoto & Osaka as well as the Japanese 'mouth-watering' food & delicacies that you'll have a chance to savour & enjoy with your fellow adventurers.

(The Kumano-Kodo Trail is suitable for all who are fit and able to hike at least 15-20km a day comfortably on different trails/ terrains with their backpack.)
