Locals in many popular tourist spots are fed up with tourists who fail to follow local norms. Because of this, many travelers are finding local interactions cold.

People are also traveling to connect with people rather than just physical attractions. Our last meet-up in Saigon had Vietnamese asking where they could meet locals in Singapore in regular neighbourhoods and learn more about their lives. Are we moving away from tourist spot based tourism?
