Raptor Ridge to Lost Pond

The hike will be held at Westmoreland Sanctuary in Westchester County. The hike will be about 4 miles and the pace, slow to moderate- a perfect hike for beginners and seniors who can more-or-less keep up with the group. Hiking poles recommended. The beginning of the hike will offer an uphill experience. Lots of great trails and scenery await.
Restrooms on the premises. Joint with Westchester Hiking Meetup Group and AMC. Attendance will be taken separately for each group. Guests are permitted, but in order to participate, all guests must sign our waiver and release via this link No pets. I recommend bringing food for an informal picnic on nearby picnic tables and benches after the hike.
Time and Location: Thursday, June 12, 2025 - Meet at 10 AM at Westmoreland Sanctuary, 260 Chestnut Ridge Road, Mount Kisco, NY 10549.

If interested in public transportation take the Harlem line 8:43 AM train from GCT arriving at Mount Kisco, NY at 9:44 AM. From there ride-share with others using a local taxi usually waiting at the station, to Westmoreland Sanctuary about 10 minutes away. We will begin at 10 AM from the parking lot at Westmoreland. Check and confirm train schedule if signing up for this hike. Rides will be offered back to the station after the hike.
