  • Writer's Digest-ion: Reading & Discussion [Vino Locale, on the Wharf!]

Aloha, Come to our first reading/gabbing session at our favorite secret coffee bar / famous wine bar — Vino Locale! Do you have a short excerpt of your writing you’d like to share (no more than 5 pages)? This will be an informal, low pressure, wine-friendly opportunity to share our projects and discuss what comes up. We won’t singularly focus on technical writerly feedback, but rather allow each piece to be a trigger for a short discussion based on what comes up. If you would like to focus more on constructive writing feedback, each reader can guide the follow-up discussion (15-20 minutes) as they wish, for example, to be more focused on craft rather than topic. Our previous meeting spot was Olitas for their Tues/Thurs specials (taco and drink for $8), but the noise level might be a problem for a reading and discussion event. Vino Locale has snacks and meal options, but is priced above Olitas. If you are on a budget, have a bite beforehand and enjoy Vino’s tasty wine options.
