About us
Side by Side is a local-but-international community formed of artists, writers, academics, filmmakers and creators that call Tokyo “home” (along with the occasional visitor).
We gather to make in a safe, structured environment, empowering each other to overcome our blocks, silence doubt and make steady progress. Each session is sandwiched by socialising, where we support each other without judgement.
All our events are free or not-for-profit, volunteer-run, with English as the common language.
