SF Urban Hike - Ocean Beach to Downtown
Details
Enjoy coastal and urban views while exploring San Francisco landmarks including Lands End, Baker Beach, the Batteries to Bluffs Trail, the Presidio Promenade, and Tunnel Tops on this approximately 12-mile one-way route with rolling hills.
The end point of the hike will either be the Ferry Building or Union Square, depending on Leader's whim. Not for speed demons or gazelles. Pace will be moderate, but not a hike for those just getting into shape.
This will be a full day out, so don't plan on finishing before 6 PM if you do the full route. Early-out options are available (it is San Francisco after all, not the remote wilderness).
• DO NOT attend if you are sick, coughing, sneezing, or have been around anyone who is sick.
Meet: Judah & La Playa Streets, NW corner, opposite the Java Beach Cafe
Bring: Lunch, liquids, weather-appropriate clothing
Additional Directions: Take the N Judah streetcar to the end of the line at La Playa. and Judah St. Parking meters are enforced on Saturdays, so be sure to park in a legal space if you drive!
Cancellation Policy: Rain, excessive heat, or poor air quality cancels.
