HEHUANSHAN
Hehuanshan (Mt. Hehuan) Mountains 合歡山群峰 are the most accessible 100 Peaks 百岳 in Taiwan. Still, the accessibility doesn't compromise the beauty of the spectacular views of the high mountains that can be found only in Taiwan.
The eastern slope of Hehuan Mountain is relatively gentle, and in the past was the site of a ski training ground. However, at 3,000 meters the air is noticeably thinner than on the coastal plains & shortness of breath is a sensation you might experience upon arrival in the high mountains after a quick drive from lower altitudes. But there is no need to rush anyway—plenty of pretty scenery around you. From the end of April to mid-May every year is the Rhododendron season in Hehuan Mountain.

These are Easy Peaks to Hike: [Both are listed among 100 Peaks 百岳]

1. Hehuanshan Main Peak 合歡山主峰, 3,417 meters. There is a Class 3 Triangulation Stone on the top. Distance: a 3.8 km out-and-back trail.
2. Hehuanshan East Peak 合歡山東峰, 3,421 meter. Distance: a 2 km out-and-back trail.
3. If after the first 2 peaks & time permits, anyone game for more, we can do HEHUANSHAN’s Mt. Shimen, 石门山: 3,237 meters. Distance: a 1.8 km out-and-back trail.

At night, with Clear Sky forecast, we can do this at our own cost, $45
Hehuanshan Dark Sky Park is an iconic certified stargazing scenic spot for the Milky Way, Chasing Meteor Shower etc.

Alishan
Taiwan’s most revered tourist attraction is a beautiful alpine area that deserves a spot on every Taiwan travel itinerary. Spring is an excellent time to visit. Times have changed, but the mountains and forests remain the same. Alishan has many historical trails worth visiting in all seasons. Eryanping Trail, Giant Tree Trail, Tefuye Ancient Trail are the 3 iconic trails we must do.

Matcha Mountain Hill with Famous Waterfall
Embark on a captivating journey through the St. Marian Hiking Trail in Yilan, Taiwan, where natural beauty and adventure converge in perfect harmony. This picturesque trail is affectionately known as Matcha Mountain due to its vibrant greenery resembling the rich hues of matcha tea.

A Walk Among the Clouds in Cingjing: Cingjing Farm is located in a high mountain with an altitude of more than 1,750 meters. Experience Taiwan's highest skywalk and behold the natural beauty for a stretch of 1.6 km. Stroll above the grasslands at 1,700 meters above sea level.

Can I join alone?
Yes, if you would like to share a room, as our price quoted is for twin-sharing. We will do our best to pair you up with other travellers of the same gender who are looking for the same. But if you are the last few to join and all the roommates are paired already, be prepared to pay for a single room. We are unable to guarantee the quality or character of your roommate. If you prefer to have your own room, please specify that when signing up.
