**Ushguli **is the highest continuously inhabited village in Europe. Nestled in the remote Caucasus Mountains of Georgia, it feels as if stepping into medieval times. It is nestled beneath the snow-covered massif of Mount Shkhara (5193m) – Georgia’s highest peak. It’s been on the Unesco World Heritage List since 1996 and is characterised by its rather unique stone towers, used as defensive fortifications, familial living quarters, and personal treasuries.

Single joiners will be paired with the same gender in hotels.

Who Suitable?
All hikers at any level - as long you train up for vertical stamina. No technical climb. Usual alpine Tundra mountains terrain - slopes, rocks etc. No high altitude issue. Beginners to hiking must be relatively healthy and active in other forms of cardio exercise that get the heartbeat up to ~ 130 & above.

Day 2 ☼ Tbilisi – Mtskheta: Jvari monastery & Uplistsikhe caves & Wine Degustation – Kutaisi (260 km)
Day 3 ☼ Kutaisi – Mazeri, Dadiani Park & local bazaar in Zugdidi (230 km)
Day 4 ☼ Full Hiking Day in Becho to Waterfall, 16 km, 520m up & down – Mestia
Day 5 ☼ Mestia, walk/hike to Chalaadi Glarier, 9 km, 350m up & down - cable car to Hatsvali Ski Resort for amazing views of Caucasus Mountains
Day 6 ☼ Mestia - Short Hike Up Lagurka church, 3 km - Ushguli
Day 7 ☼ Ushguli – Shkhara Glacier – Ushguli, hike to the foot of Mt. Shkhara, 10 km, 420 m up & down
Day 8 ☼ Ushguli – Adishi Ancient Village walk, Tetnuldi Ski Resort - Mestia, 6km, 380m up
Day 9 ☼ Mestia – Martvili - Kutaisi, drive to Samegrelo region: Martvili canyon with boat trip & Wine degustation with lunch.
