🗿 Guizhou is famous throughout China for its karst landscapes, which include some of the most spectacular caves in the country.

⛰ Zhijin Cave (织金洞)

• One of the largest and most spectacular karst caves in China
• The cave stretches over 12 km, with about 6.6 km open to tourists. Some chambers are as tall as 150 meters—big enough to fit a skyscraper!

🏔️ Fanjing Shan (梵净山) – Guizhou’s Sacred & Stunning Peak

• UNESCO World Heritage Site (listed in 2018)
• Sacred site in Chinese Buddhism
• Home to some of the most surreal scenery in China
• Home to endemic species like the Guizhou golden monkey and Fanjingshan fir
• UNESCO praised its “outstanding universal value” for biodiversity
• Rich in rare plants, moss-covered stones, and pristine forest
• We are taking cable car up to a certain level, then walk up vertical steps all the way to the summit temple

🌺 Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area (百里杜鹃景区)

• Known as the “World’s Largest Natural Rhododendron Forest”
• Over 60 species of rhododendrons
• Rolling hills and mountains covered in pink, red, purple, and white blossoms
• Often misty in the mornings, offering a mystical, cloud-forest vibe

🌿 Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area (小七孔风景区) — Guizhou’s Emerald Gem: Unique gems of karst nature, forests and water landscapes.
Often dubbed a "Super Miniature Garden" or "Little Jiuzhaigou". The area boasts a forest coverage rate of over 92%, ensuring an abundance of fresh air enriched with negative oxygen ions. The annual average temperature hovers around a comfortable 18°C, making it a member of the UNESCO International Network of Biosphere Reserves.

🏔️ Wanfeng Forest (UNESCO World Heritage) is a natural site featuring numerous peaks. Wanfeng 万峰林 means a forest of peaks, comprising 20,000 peculiar karst landforms. View from the top [which we will walk/hike up], you will feel its magnificent land: commanding peaks surrounded by lush green fields, meandering rivers & charming villages.

🏘 Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village (西江千户苗寨)
Miao village of a thousand households. It’s China’s largest Miao ethnic community village, composed of more than ten natural settlements scattered across terraced hillsides. The village is a superbly picturesque place, set in a natural basin and bordered by paddy fields drenched in green, with wooden houses rising on the hillside. It should be the fantastic “Miao Capital” and the “Open Air Museum” to experience the Miao’s primitive culture.

🏰 Guizhou’s "Fenglinbuyi" Scenic Treasure, 峰林布依景区
A man‑made yet deeply immersive Bouyei‑culture themed village, spanning over 3,200 mu (~530 acres) of land. We are here for dinner & the night view + show is wonderful & a unique performance.

🌹 Kunming Dounan Flower Market 昆明斗南花卉市场 is renowned as the largest fresh-cut flower trading market in China and Asia, making it a must-visit destination for flower enthusiasts. It covers an area of about 8,000 square meters (roughly 86,000 square feet). It’s a large, bustling marketplace.

Who is suitable?
This is not an intense hiking trip, except for the hike up Fanjing Shan (梵净山). All the places we are going require a lot of walking. If you don't have the stamina to hike up Fanjing Shan after taking the cable car, you can stay at the station cafe.
