Column-level lineage in Power BI with Measure Killer

Measure Killer has been around since 2023, what started as a fun project now became a full governance and lineage solution for Power BI and Fabric, get a deep dive into all its features in this session.

Signal Over Schedule: Engineering Efficient Event-Driven Pipelines in Microsoft Fabric

Is your Microsoft Fabric Capacity being drained by "ghost" pipeline runs? In many traditional data architectures, we schedule pipelines to run every hour or every 15 minutes; only for them to find no new data to process. This "polling" approach is not just inefficient; it’s a silent killer of your compute budget.

In this session, we move from a passive, schedule-based mindset to a reactive, event-driven architecture. Using a real-world use case, I will demonstrate how to transform Fabric SQL Tables into active event sources. By leveraging Fabric Activator to monitor data inserts and updates, we can trigger Data Factory Pipelines and Notebooks only when there is actual work to do.
We will walk through the end-to-end implementation: from configuring the SQL monitoring layer to passing dynamic parameters directly into your downstream workflows.
Whether you are looking to reduce latency for your business users or optimize your Fabric Capacity consumption, this session provides the blueprint for building a truly "active" data platform.
