Monthly Singles Potluck Lunch OUTSIDE! 5/19/2013 12:45 PM
Details
We will be outdoors this month, in the pavilion. Bring your usual potluck food contributions, we will run the BBQ grills in June, not this month. http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/2/a/8/event_189008872.jpegIt's a
Potluck Luncheon!!
Bring food to share and join the group that is
"Singles With Grace"
at Grace Community Church
for their monthly potluck luncheon.
We will be OUTDOORS this month (weather permitting), enjoying the pavilion and picnic area behind Grace Community Church. Yes - there is a sand volleyball court! Come prepared to play if you would like to.
We eat, we socialize, we hang out and a few games might be played.
There is a lot of opportunity to mix, mingle, meet other singles and make friends at these monthly potlucks. Jan usually has a icebreaker game to get us talking to one another.
We start gathering for the luncheon (setting up tables, chairs and such) around 12:45 PM with the goal of beginning to eat around 1:00 PM.

Additional directions to the Outdoor Pavilion and parking instructions - The Pavilion is not visible from the front of the church when you first pull in to the parking lot from Old Columbia Road. The pavilion is behind the church, so drive around back to the rear parking lot. You will see a storm-water management pond and a volleyball area with some sheds and a pavilion. PARK in the parking lot and WALK down to the pavilion. Do NOT drive down to the pavilion, the church does not want vehicles parked near the pavilion.
Bring a potluck dish to share. A potluck dish is a substantial main dish, salad or side/dessert item. Across the street from the church, there is a Harris Teeter grocery store and about 1/2 mile away at one of the traffic circles is a Food Lion grocery store. This may be an option if you are coming from your church's worship service and need to pick up an item to contribute to the potluck. You can also pick up take out food - a bucket of chicken or side items, a few sub sandwiches of $5 footlongs from Subway, a carry out order of chinese food - you don't have to cook....although delicious homemade casseroles and salads are much appreciated!! Grace does not have refrigerators or microwaves (yet) that we can use to keep items cold or to heat them. Kitchen is coming soon, hopefully later in 2013!
Usually there are 50 to 75 single men and women who regularly attend these monthly luncheons, both from Grace Community Church and from our Meetup group.

Note - This is the church that Michelle, Mike and Jan regularly attend. Posting this event is in no way an attempt to take you away from your home church. Please attend your church's worship service on Sunday morning and then join us for the luncheon.
If you do not have a regular church and/or want to use this as an opportunity to visit Grace, please contact one of us and we will coordinate with you to meet you in the lobby at 11:00 AM.
The Singles With Grace group normally sits together during the 11:15 service. We sit about halfway down the far right section when facing the stage. If you arrive after 11:15 and want to sit with us, look for the group in that area.
