Get ready for a hilarious and heartwarming competition like no other ! The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee invites audiences into the quirky, pressure – filled world of six adolescent spellers – played by actual actors – each armed with an unforgettable personality, big dreams, and a love for words. With improvised, moments, audience participation,  and a Tony Award winning score, this delightful musical comedy is full of unexpected surprises. As the students battle through the bee, they reveal their hopes, insecurities, and the personal stories that brought them to the stage. Packed with humor, charm, and plenty of spelling antics, the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a laugh – out loud celebration of growing up, the thrill of competition, and finding the courage to be yourself – one letter at a time.

I’m planning a dinner beforehand at the Peoria Café, who has a great fish fry on Fridays along with other tempting dishes if you’re interested .

Tickets will be only $29 ( a savings of up to $20) if we have 20 or more people attending . Otherwise it goes up to $39.

Your Guests of all ages are welcome , bring as many as you’d like as long as the theater has seating and I can get more tickets. Your Payment cements a ticket , you cannot simply rsvp. Once purchased , the ticket belongs to you. I can try to help you sell it if need be. I have purchased 23 tickets and can probably get more, but of course that’s not a sure thing.
