We're going back to Mad Oak!
Event is Friday 10/16/26 from 6-9pm!
We’re throwing a big, lively Singles Mingle party at Mad Oak in Oakland! We’ll have the entire upstairs balcony to ourselves — complete with heaters, a private bar, delicious food available to order, light background music, and of course, our signature icebreaker game. Free entry!
📍 135 12th St, Oakland - 6pm to 9pm!
Bring physical ID/passport: This place scans your ID barcode so it is required in order to attend.
Take the stairs near the main entrance. You’ll find me or my cohost at the top of the stairs, ready to greet you with a wristband and your icebreaker game.
Parking: street parking is available, and there are two nearby garages that look promising online — Alco Parking Garage and Douglas Parking.

Age Info: This event is for ages 21 and up! If you’re curious about the typical age range, it can be hard to predict, as many attendees discover the event through online advertising and don’t RSVP in advance. Because of this, I don’t always know exactly who or what ages will be attending—this is also a big reason the event is free to attend. Based on my experience hosting 200+ events, the predominant age range tends to be 30–65, though each event is unique and attracts a diverse mix of people.

Only requirement to attend is that you're single (your wing person does not have to be single, they just won't receive a wristband or an icebreaker game but they are welcome to attend with you).

A QUICK NOTE ABOUT THE MALE-TO-FEMALE RATIO:
The male-to-female ratio you see on Meetup is not the whole story. These events are promoted across numerous platforms, social media, online advertising, shared by members, sent to friends, and discovered in countless other ways. Many people who attend never RSVP on Meetup at all.
I’ve also been told by several women that they intentionally don’t RSVP because they prefer to attend more incognito, so please keep that in mind when looking at the RSVP ratio for any Singles Mingle event.
There is simply no way for me to know or guarantee the gender ratio beforehand, especially since the vast majority of Singles Mingle events are FREE and open to singles from everywhere.
On the rare occasion that an event does have a small entry fee, it’s typically only $10. Either way, you’re never committed to staying! Come check out the crowd, mingle for a bit, and if the event isn’t what you were hoping for, you’re always free to head out and continue with your evening. 😊

Please keep in mind that low ratings affect the entire Singles Mingle community, not just one event. The higher the group’s overall rating, the more likely new singles are to join, which means more people at events and more opportunities for everyone to make connections.
If you attend an event and don’t enjoy something about it, I strongly encourage you to DM me or share your constructive feedback in your written review, but please consider giving the overall group 5 stars. Tell me what worked, what didn’t, and what you’d like to see improved. I do read the feedback and use it when planning future events.
A few low ratings can bring down the overall group rating very quickly. If we fall into the 4.4 or 4.3 range, it becomes much harder to attract new members, which ultimately hurts the same members who want bigger and better turnouts. There really aren’t many outlets like Singles Mingle in the Bay Area, and I’m trying to protect what we’ve built and keep it growing. ❤️
Members who leave a 1 or 2 star rating may be removed from the Meetup group. You are still welcome to find and attend Singles Mingle events through the other platforms where they’re advertised, but Meetup membership is reserved for those who want to support the continued growth of the group.
