• Monthly Interactive Photo Critique

    Link visible for attendees

Join us for our monthly critique session with Bryan Lopez and fellow photographers. These reviews are positive in nature and include friendly and helpful suggestions and comments as well as live application of suggested changes. The purpose of these sessions is to help us all improve our photography, and gives the photographer the opportunity to see what suggested changes would look like on their photo. The style and depth of the review are totally up to the submitting photographer.

Members wishing to have one or two of their photos included in the review may submit their photos to [masked].

  • Madam Lou Bunch Day

    Central City

Let's get together to photograph the bed races at Madam Lou Bunch Day in Central City. Lou Bunch Day activities go from noon until 8 p.m., and the bed races start at 2:30 p.m. We photographed the bed races last year and had a great deal of fun. Even without the festivities of Lou Bunch Day, Central City has many interesting and unique things to photograph in addition to the beautiful mountain scenery.

We will meet in front of Doc Holliday's place (beige building shown on the right in the above photograph) at 2:00 p.m.). This location is on the main street close to where the bed races start.

  • Independence Pass Star Shoot

    Needs a location

This is set up as a place holder. Specific times and location details (as well as carpool and/or local hotels for those who wish to stay in the area) will be posted as we get closer to the date in 2023.

Jerry Stachowski has generously agreed to be our host and guide to shooting the Milky Way and stars. Stay tuned for more information.

  • Photograph Burro Days in Fairplay, Colorado

Come join the fun and photograph the Burro (" Get yur ass up the pass") and Outhouse races in Fairplay, Colorado. Burro Days celebrate the mining history of Fairplay.

This scheduled event is a placeholder to reserve the date, and more information will be added as we get closer to the date and the event times are published.

  • Let's Photograph Capitol Hill

    954 N Washington St

Capitol Hill is full of unique sites including mansions of days gone by, churches and Civic Center Park. We are scheduling this event for late September to hopefully catch the fall colors in the trees that line our route as we wander around this historic neighborhood. Our route will take us from Washington Street to Civic Center Park and back (via a different path) and past landmarks such as the Molly Brown House and Trinity Church. Total walking distance is estimated at 3 miles.

We will meet in the courtyard of[masked] North Washington between 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Coffee and donuts will be provided. Parking is on the street.
