Saturday 10:00 – Newport Beach. 20+/- miles of social, casual exercise with positive like-minded people keeping it local around Newport Beach. Great for first timers, shy people, and expert riders. Open for all levels but should have a basic level of fitness and be Willing and Able to ride as part of a supportive group. Are you ready for a beautiful fun day? We have scheduled stops along the way to ‘Group Up’ and hydrate.

HISTORY OF OCEAN BIKE TOURS
We have led over 350+ bike tours over recent years on bike paths, side roads and paved trails (No PCH) along the ocean from Laguna Beach to the Queen Mary. Meet new friends, like-minded people, exercise and enjoy the beauty of where we live. Please read the entire post.
SELF REGULATED FUN
We ride as a safe, supportive group for casual exercise in well-organized rides and everyone is Self-Responsible. You should have a basic level of fitness and show up with water and a bike in good working order or rent a bike. (see end of post)

BIKE RENTALS
Yes – If you do not have a bike - see the end of this post for all the details.
THE RIDE
Plan for 4+/- hours and 23+/- miles. Leave from the Galley Café to the Back Bay – a short climb up to East Bluff neighborhoods to Bonita Canyon area and on to a picnic. After lunch we take a route through UCI to the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary and return back to Newport Beach via the Back Bay trail along Irvine Avenue into neighborhoods and on to Castaway Park and the Galley Cafe. A few hills and a bike with gears is highly recommended.
PICNIC LUNCH
We will pause for a picnic at Westcliff Plaza. Pack your lunch or there are several places to buy food. We break for lunch and complete the ride. There is no need for a bike lock.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Bike outings are rewarding and pleasant activities, but there are certain dangers you should be aware of including Covid 19. Those include, but are not limited to, impact or fall injuries, broken or dislocated bones. By signing up for this bike tour and showing up as a result of reading this Meet Up post, you assume the risks of the outing and agree to release the organization, the trip organizer, and other participants from claims for any and all injuries or other losses sustained during this trip. HELMETS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Park in the Bayside Center Shopping Plaza at Jamboree and Bayside Dr. Walk across the bridge onto Balboa Island on the right-hand sidewalk. The 1st building on the right is Sports Rent. Come early to rent a bike and peddle up Bayside Drive to the Galley Café to be ready for the 10:00 start. As you leave the rental place just stay on the left-hand sidewalk over the bridge and all the way to a left on Harbor Island Drive.

We leave from Inspiration Point to Little Corona Beach and a restroom break. Back to CDM main beach – across the sand to the bay wall – up the stairs to Lookout Point and then back down into China Cove – coming back up some stairs to the top - looping up Dahlia Avenue to Fernleaf and then to Begonia Park to Goldenrod and the Bridge of Flowers foot bridge to Sherman Gardens. 2.5+/- miles. There will be a short stretch of silent walking as we come to Begonia Park. What does this mean? Come and find out.We ‘Group Up’ or pause a few times during the walk at a scenic vista or area bring everyone together and then continue. Walk at your own pace and go as far as you want. This is a very scenic visual feast and walk/hike on sand with beach stairs and hills.
SHERMAN GARDENS VISIT
We will explore and delight in the amazing environment that is Sherman Gardens. We will meet up inside on the patio by the gift shop after around 30+/- minute. Stay as long as you like. Rev. Keith is a Licensed Practitioner, Minister and Faculty member at the Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City, CA. Rev. Keith is a huge advocate of self-care and empowerment and regularly facilitates classes throughout the U.S.A. focusing on Divine energy medicine, holistic wellness, science & spirituality, meditation and nature retreats. Rev. Keith believes that all paths can lead to spiritual liberation, and that practicing the cornerstones of meditation, affirmative living and prayer, and gratitude on a regular basis cultivates the experience of wellness and joy.

We have heard and read of the positive benefits from Meditation. Meditation can help slow the mind and open the heart. The only thing we control is our attitude. Personal changes and transformation are an ‘Inside Job’. Go within as we attract not what we want but what we are.
Physical Benefits of Meditation
With meditation, the physiology undergoes a change and every cell in the body is filled with more energy. This results in joy, peace, enthusiasm as the level of energy in the body increases.
On a physical level, meditation:
