About us
This is a group for all those who have the desire to travel near and far and have fun making new friends whilst doing so. The aim of this group is to put up a varied selection of holidays and short breaks to suit all individuals and pocket. I enjoy putting trips together in a cost effective way, why pay more joining a tour when you can do the same at a fraction of the cost. There is no doubt that certain places do need a proper organised guide but why not find a good price by booking just that little bit early. As a member of this group you are all most welcome to make suggestions for any trip you think may be of interest to others. It would be nice to get to know other members on a regular basis so that we are not total strangers when we decide to travel together, therefore, we shall have a monthly get together for drinks. This is why I have named this group the 50+ Social Travellers.

Dining Speed Dating 40+ in Beaconsfield Sat Sept 26th.
The Beech House, 17 Penn Rd, Beaconsfield HP9 2PN, Buckinghamshire, GBJoin us for the best introduction service we have thought of in 32 years of running singles events.

We are now taking bookings for Sat Nov 7th at Grovefield House Hotel in Taplow, Burnham. The event will be in the same format as below but at a beautiful hotel.
We have 8 tables of 6 sitting man, woman, man, woman. Guests arrive at 6.30pm to sit at 7pm with nobody missing on the tables. The food is served to the tables at 7pm and we allow 20 minutes on the first table to give the men a chance to eat something. We then start to move the men every 10 minutes with their plates until they have sat on all 8 tables.
The Food on Each Table will be :
Margherita pizzas, house salads & truffle & parmesan chipsAfter the speed dating guests can continue chatting at the bar to get back together with anyone of interest. This venue has a fully stocked bar with beer on tap so it is good for mixing after the intro service.
Tickets are £29.50.

Grovefield House Hotel is a lovely 4 star Edwardian country house set in idyllic countryside. The hotel management have approached us asking if we would like to hold one of our dating events in their beautiful setting.
If travelling for some distance the hotel inform me that they will give our members a special price for a single occupancy room at £70 or £80 with a hot breakfast. You will need to give the code 'sociable' if you ring to book direct and say it is for the Sat Nov 7th event with Single & Social Bucks Berks.We have 8 tables of 6 sitting man, woman, man, woman.
