Mike Shoup (with David as his TA) will be teaching SFS Method, a simple framework for plotting and prepping technical classes.

SFS Method was created with two people in mind, the student suffering through long, boring lectures, and the passionate subject-matter expert (SME) who would like to share knowledge. Few teachers want to cause students to suffer, and most students would rather learn without unnecessary misery.

If you've worked in tech for any length of time, you probably notice you have keep constantly learning new things. One of those things should be how to teach the things you know. This makes you a more effective communicator which is crucial to career development. Not to mention teaching is a great way to reinforce your own learning.
