Provisioning Cloud Infrastructure On OpenStack

Details
Provisioning Cloud Intrastructure On OpenStack
a Gentle, Hands-on Introduction
with Chris Fedde & David L. Willson
We will use an existing OpenStack cluster to provision a stack manually in the GUI, by script in the CLI, and if time allows, by template.
We will create Projects and Users, provision Instances, assign Elastic IPs, and create proper Security Groups, from the GUI, CLI, and Heat template.
If time allows, we will attempt to build a DevStack node in VirtualBox. If you're interested in that part, make sure you have VirtualBox installed, up-to-date, and working! Or, use one of our loaner machines.
This class is in development; your suggestions and feedback are
wanted! If there’s a particular feature of OpenStack that you would
like to see highlighted, please say so early, so we can try to plan
it in.
