SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL

Details

This is your chance to:

  • Learn some new things
  • Get together with your SFS friends
  • Create some new material and try it out
  • Observe Software Freedom First Saturday

This half day will be full of sessions of 15 to 90 minutes, generally following the SFS Method: Let the student hear, see, do, and say. Perhaps in Time Pie: Talk, Demo, Pair and Share.

Planned Sessions:

Featureban:

Ed Schaefer will lead a simple, fun simulation game to introduce Kanban basics and help us learn how visualizing work and limiting work-in-progress (WIP) helps us improve flow.

Docker:

David L. Willson will lead us over some potentially useful Docker exercises he wrote for a 1.5 hour BLUG session. Handy for anyone learning Docker or considering renewing their LFCS. I heard they added Docker to that.
Mats: https://gitlab.com/DLWillson/blug-2019-11-14

Price: $4, $4K, or PWYW

Requirements: Bring a the most powerful laptop you can, with a web browser and an ssh client.
