Welcome to SolidAngle LA, a community-focused meetup group dedicated to fostering connections, learning, curiosity, and support through a wide range of wholesome events. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive space where people in the Los Angeles area can come together to build meaningful relationships, share positive experiences, and embrace the values of living better, helping often, and nurturing curiosity.
We strive to offer diverse activities that cater to various interests and preferences. Our events include active pursuits like hiking, biking, and group workouts, alongside learning experiences such as cooking or baking classes, art or crafting sessions, and book clubs. We also love organizing potlucks, game nights, movie or TV show screenings, and other social gatherings to strengthen our community bonds. Additionally, we are committed to giving back to our community by participating in volunteering opportunities, allowing our members to make a difference while forging lasting connections.
We welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life, aiming to create an environment where everyone feels valued and included. Are you ready to make an impact in Redondo Beach with Shared Bread?
We’re teaming up with Shared Bread, a nonprofit that’s been feeding and supporting unhoused and low-income neighbors in the South Bay since 1992—with the help of thousands of volunteers and local partners.
On this day, we’ll extend their regular meal service into a full Resource Day, bringing in community services, fun activities, and sharing our warm hospitality.✅ Please register in two places to confirm your spot:

Shared Bread’s work has long provided nourishment, dignity, and connection to neighbors in need. Your energy and presence will help guests access additional services, enjoy a warm meal, and feel seen and supported. When we serve our neighbors, we build a stronger, more compassionate community for everyone.👕 What to Wear
- Clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty
- Closed-toe shoes only
- No jewelry or bags, please
- If you’ve got a Better Angels T-shirt, wear it proudly! If not, you'll get one.
🧰 What’s Provided
We’ll bring all tools, supplies, and materials. Just bring yourself and good energy!
👨👩👧 Who Can Volunteer?
All ages welcome! Family-friendly activities will be available.🛠 What You’ll Do (Based on Shift)
- 1:00 – 2:00 PM: Set up tables, chairs, crafts, and decor
- 2:30 – 6:00 PM: Run crafts, games, and activities; welcome guests and help connect them to services
- 6:00 – 7:00 PM: Take down decorations and clean up
🙋 Volunteer Roles Include:
- Tables and chairs set up
- Charging station and decor setup
- Community dining space prep (coffee, water, lemonade)
- Servers (food and drinks)
- Guest greeter and counter
- Guest belongings attendant
- Hygiene distributor
- Game/activity coordinator
- Event photographer (focus on volunteers—guest dignity always respected)
Organizers will do their best to make sure you have a role you like!
