Bradford on Avon - Canal and River Walk – 6.2 miles

The walk starts with a short section along the Kennet & Avon Canal, turning off through Widbrook Wood, and following the River Avon into Bradford on Avon, on to the Tithe Barn. We will then continue along the River, through Barton Farm Country Park, until reaching Avoncliff Aqueduct.
We can stop for a refreshment break when we reach Avoncliff (approx. 4 miles), for coffee and cake at No.10 Tea Garden or the Cross Guns pub.
Once refreshed, we will head back along the Kennet & Avon canal. There are a plenty of places to stop near the end of the walk for anyone who fancies a debrief.

Overall, this is a pretty flat and easy walk with a few steps, but no significant hills.
Meeting Point – Moulton Drive, Bradford on Avon, alongside the canal path. BA15 1XE. Free parking is available along Moulton Drive, or if busy, on Southway Road off to the side.

WEATHER
If bad weather is forecast, the walk will be cancelled the day before.
If the weather is horrendous on the day it will be cancelled on the morning of the walk, by 8:00 am
