Please join me when one of the hottest New York Jazz groups, Eric Person Quintet, including one of the world's most celebrated drummers Sylvia Cuenca, takes stage at Mitchell Park Bowl in Palo Alto for a FREE afternoon Jazz concert. If you love contemporary Jazz, don't miss this.

Bring your friends and family!

ABOUT: Eric Person is a renowned American saxophonist. He is prolific as a composer, and ubiquitous as a musical collaborator and artist.

His work as a leader is stylistically diverse and intrepid, presenting solo works, music for jazz quartet, duo for sax/drum, an electric ensemble and big band.

Over his nearly forty years as a musician in New York, Person has had the good fortune to perform with the vanguard of the jazz world namely McCoy Tyner, Dave Holland Wallace Roney, and cutting edge artists such as Vernon Reid, Ronald Shannon Jackson, and the World Saxophone Quartet.

Eric’s signature sound on alto, soprano, tenor, saxophone and flute has been featured on over fifty CDs, from Chico Hamilton to Ben Harper to Bright Dog Red.

This is a SELF-HOSTED event in a public venue that you can attend at your convenience. When you arrive, find the space and set up a lawn chair or sit down on a picnic blanket.

HOW TO MEET UP: We'll meet to say "hi" to other members in the left front of the stage at 1:50 pm (10 minutes before the music starts) or 5 minutes after the band goes on breaks.

Find Miki wearing a purple sunhat.

* Bring a hat, sunscreen, lawn chair/picnic blanket, snacks & drinks.
