Colonization of Mars or Space in general, becoming multi-planetary as Elon Musl calls it is a large endeavor. There are numerous issues to decide and technologies to develop. How much do we need to provide to bootstrap a colony on Mars? How safe does it need to be? Where would colony / colonies go? What kind of power, communications, radiation mitigation and other technologies would we need specifically?
This group will not only discuss these issues but will produce an active plan for colonization including the preparation and research needed before humans arrive as well as the rate of colonization possible.
The plan will be as detailed as possible including a manifest of equipment and materials, specifications of technical requirements, weight, duty cycle. We will also consider the order and dependencies before going from one step to another.
