What we’re about

If you like to play spades, talk trash and have fun then this is the group for you! Bring your skills or lack thereof because all skill levels are welcome. We'll bring the decks.

Many people who attend play with jokers and some play without. There are no "house rules" so rules are decided by the table you join. Don't be surprised if you hear something new! (We've heard it all, lol.)

This group is based in the southside Richmond area, but we have meetups in the surrounding counties as well. Venue recommendations are always appreciated.

You've asked and we've answered! Calling all beginner and novice Spades players, and those in need of a refresher! Join us for our second Spades Workshop on July 13th from 6-8:30pm at Unplugged Games Café (1300 Sycamore Square Dr, Midlothian, VA 23113). New players will learn the basics of the game and those who are rusty can brush up on their skills too. We'll bring the decks!

Call for volunteer Spades teachers: To all the seasoned group members out there, if you're interested in helping teach the newer players please reach out to a member of the Spades Leadership Team to let them know. We appreciate you!

Fees: This event is free to attend. Donations are always welcome ($Spades804 on Cash App). Everyone pays their own tab so be sure to pay before you leave.

Parking is available in the parking lot by the building.

Masks are optional. Please respect those who choose to wear them. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available if needed.

Hey folks! Join us for Sunday Spades on October 22nd from 2-6pm at HogsHead Café (8902 West Broad St., Henrico, VA 23294). This lively restaurant offers a variety of good food and drinks. Check out their menu at www.thehogsheadcafe.com/menus/. Note there's an automatic 20% tip included for large groups, and we count as a large group.

We will be on the second floor of the Café for the event. Bring your "A" game and maybe a friend. We'll bring the decks!
