4:00 - 4:20 Come early and chat online with fellow testers 4:20 - 4:30 Announcements 4:30 - 5:30/5:45 Presentation 5:45 - 6:00 Closing remarks Presentation Synopsis: Do you ever have this experience: Your team discusses a story in the planning meeting, codes and tests using good practices, delivers it to the product owner or customer - who then rejects it because it wasn't what they wanted. This happens too frequently, even on experienced agile teams. It leads to long cycle times, high rejection rates, wasted time and general frustration. We don't want to get stuck in "analysis paralysis", but we do need to make sure that everyone on the cross-functional product team shares the same understanding of each story they need to deliver before they begin testing and coding. We can use different testing activities to explore requirements, so teams can build the right product, that solves customer and business problems. Learning takeaways: • Learn techniques to create shared understanding about features • Help your team consider quality attributes that are important to them • Use your testing mindset to shorten cycle times and feedback loops Lisa Crispin is the co-author, with Janet Gregory, of three books: Agile Testing Condensed: A Brief Introduction, More Agile Testing: Learning Journeys for the Whole Team, Agile Testing: A Practical Guide for Testers and Agile Teams; the LiveLessons Agile Testing Essentials video course, and “The Whole Team Approach to Agile Testing” 3-day training course offered through the Agile Testing Fellowship.
