Columbus Day Lunch Meal 2025

Venue Change: We are now going to The Olympian Diner in South Braintree Square. This is a cash-only restaurant with an ATM on-site.
Shifted time up by 5 minutes since it is a holiday and there are a limited number of breakfast restaurants open today.

Our Annual Columbus Day Lunch Meal brings us to Nellie Rose in Whitman MA. Known for the breakfasts, this appears to be a CDL theme for us most years and why not keep it going.

Join fellow members of the SSDOMG for a holiday-ish meal as this is one we have been doing for many years and several members have asked for more holiday-ish meals. Kicking it off with CDL, there will be more meals on or the day before or after a holiday. You may need to remind us a few weeks ahead tho as it's essentially a one-person show organizing events, which I am hoping to change over the next few months.

Meeting Place: By the front door. Please wait for Event Host/Organizer to be seated. We wait till the majority of attendees are present or a minute or two after the event time to be seated. We *may* have to wait a few minutes to be seated. If you will be arriving more than 15 minutes after our start time please post a comment below at least 10 minutes prior to the event with your ETA. As this restaurant closes at 2pm, please arrive prior to 1:15pm.

Event Fee: $2pp / 2025 Annual Members ~ Free / $6 to become an Annual Member (mid-yr Aug/Sept/Oct). // All small bills please (1s &5s; 10s for AMs) which is collected when we are paying the bill.

RSVP Deadline ~ 2 hours prior ~ Mon 10/13 @ 10:30am (Note: If your plans change please update your RSVP regardless of the time as we can now access this info from our phones. Any changes after this time may be considered a No-Show.) Directions Overview: Located in South Braintree Square, just south of the intersection with the lights.

Parking: Free and ample in adjacent parking lot, on-street, and in the municipal lot around the corner.

~~~Please bring Cash Only!!! **This is a cash-only restaurant w/ an on-site ATM.** If you choose to bring/buy/use a GC from/for this restaurant, please bring proof of funds and no more than $20 more than the cost of your portion of the bill. Please bring small bills ($1s or $5s please) to pay for the event fee. When in doubt, please make this easy and bring cash. We will check with our server/restaurant about separate checks in advance and then again upon arrival but make no promises or guarantees.~~~

**Health Guidelines**

SSDOMG requests you not attend an event if/when:
>You have been exposed to covid-19 in the 10 days prior to the event and have not yet tested negative.
>You are experiencing any sickness up to 5 days prior to the event in which you have not been symptom-free for at least 48 hours, especially if it's contagious.

This is for the safety of the attendees, employees, and our families.

Please update your RSVP, preferably prior to the RSVP Deadline or you may be considered a No-Show. We do have a No-Show Policy which is when you are a Yes/Going RSVP at the RSVP Deadline but do not attend the event.
