About us
Welcome to Steel City RPG!
We host RPG events in locations across Pittsburgh for those who share a passion for Role-Playing Games, Sci-Fi, or slaying Dragons in Dungeons. We are a new group working to provide a safe and welcoming environment for public game nights featuring a variety of TTRPGs.
New player? Veteran? Dungeons and Dragons enjoyer? GURPS enthusiast? All are welcome!
Let's roll the dice and embark on epic journeys within the realms of imagination!
Beyond our public game days, we also provide a hub for connecting people for campaigns and general RPG discussion. If you are interested in advertising your campaign or finding a campaign to join, check out our community hub on Discord, a space we created specifically to give more exposure to events and people looking to form or join a group!

Final Fantasy TTRPG / North Shore Showdown / Lawrenceville RPG Day 5
Pittsburgh is having a perfect day. Clear skies. Crowd noise drifting up from the river. The Pirates have a home game, and absolutely nothing should go wrong.
Except for the monsters.
North Shore Showdown is a comedy one-shot using the Final Fantasy TTRPG, set in an alternate Pittsburgh where the city occasionally has to deal with things like this. A flash bulletin has gone out — there are creatures causing trouble along the North Shore, right outside PNC Park, and the game can't start until someone handles it.
That someone is you. A small group of regular Pittsburgh citizens about to have a very eventful afternoon.
Expect laughs, social problem-solving, and a monster situation that is mostly someone else's fault.
No experience needed. Pre-generated characters are provided, with a few choices left for you to make them your own.

I'm a Lover Not a Fighter / Masks and Mischief / Lawrenceville RPG Day 5
Lawrence Hall, 4609 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA, USA musketeer, a masked trickster, and a lovesick duelist walk into a heist. No one said it would go smoothly.
Masks and Mischief is a swashbuckling, roleplay-forward one-shot set in the gloriously vague 17th century — where intrigue, comedy, and cartoonish chaos collide.
You'll play a caricature of the era's most daring archetypes: a masked Commedia dell'Arte Arlecchino, a glory-seeking musketeer, a duelist with something to prove, or something equally audacious. Your crew has one goal — to creatively liberate (read: steal or rescue) a person or fortune being wrongfully held by the corrupt powers-that-be.
- Comedy-forward with room for drama, mystery, and political maneuvering
- Swashbuckling, scheming, and a catastrophic amount of slapstick
- Cartoonish physical humor — no graphic content
The plan will fall apart. You'll improvise something better.
No experience required. Characters are created together at the start of the session.
