Small Group Train Day: 5 Hollywood Movie Studios and 1 Cemetery!

Please READ the following before signing up.
Do not sign up unless you are certain you will be able to attend or show up without a confirmed reservation. If the event is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist. If spots open, waitlisted folks will be automatically confirmed as “Going” in the order in which they joined the waitlist.

Profile photo: Anyone interested in joining this event must have a profile photo showing their entire face.

About the walk: This is not a tour; it is an exploratory walk of the area in and around 5 Los Angeles studios and a famous cemetery. Expect to walk between 5 & 7 miles on urban streets such as Western, Melrose, Santa Monica, Sunset, and Hollywood. We will NOT enter the studios.

Food: We will picnic around 12:30PM

Bathrooms:Irvine Transportation Center, Metrolink trains, Union Station, Public Library, and Starbucks.

There will be no “sweep” so take any limitations you may have into consideration before signing up.

How to prepare:

• Pack lunch and snacks, bring enough water for the day
• Wear sunscreen, a hat, appropriate clothing & walking shoes
• Be flexible - you never know what road we may decide to explore or who we will meet along the way 😊

Where/when to meet:
9AM, Irvine Transportation Station, near the ticket kiosks, outside the station waiting room.

Transportation Details:
Fare:Select “Weekend,” $10 R/T (Best deal in town 😊) The fare includes Metrorail which we will ride for two segments of our journey.

To Union Station: Metrolink #1661; the train will depart the station from the northbound platform at 9:21 AM.

Return to Irvine:After our “adventure” in LaLa land, we will catch the 4:27PM Metrolink #1668 (last Metrolink train back to Orange County), arriving in Irvine ~5:36PM.

Sometimes there are train delays so factor that into planning your day. If you miss the #1668, you will be responsible for making your own arrangements back to the Irvine Transportation Center.
