Bike the San Luis Rey River Trail to Oceanside

Details
ABOUT THE BIKE RIDE: We take the San Luis Rey River Trail approximately ten miles to Oceanside for a lunch stop. The trail is two lane, asphalt paved, relatively flat, and mostly separated from motorize traffic. It is free of stop signs and traffic lights. We enter the trail at the easternmost point at a parking lot situated at North Santa Fe Avenue and Hwy 76. We ride along the river to the ocean, with trail exit near the Oceanside Pier. We stop for lunch at Tin Fish (located at 302 The Strand North), where you can get fish tacos, fish and chips, or burgers. We return the same route to the eastern trail head parking. This meetup bike ride will accommodate e-bikes or conventional road/mountain bikes. Plan to ride as a group at a relatively moderate pace with a sweep.
