What we’re about
This group is for anyone who wants to dance Argentine tango in the San Francisco Bay Area! Everyone is welcome, from first-timers to experienced dancers. We host tango dance classes on Wednesday evenings followed by a practica. This is a queer-friendly event where all genders are encouraged to lead and follow. Masks are optional. Come on out for tango in the East Bay!

We are so happy to welcome instructor Luz Castiñeiras back to La Bruja to teach the fundamentals of tango. Luz is a highly experienced teacher who helps students develop good technique while keeping everyone moving. This is a drop-in class, but it helps to come every week!
If you just started tango with Felipe and Ayano, we recommend this class.
These classes are taught as “leaders” and “followers” and are inclusive to folks of all genders, non-binary & LGBTQ+. Role-switching is encouraged.
7:00-8:00 pm beginner class
8:00-8:30 pm practicaWe encourage everyone to stay, dance, and ask questions during the practica. Drinks are available across the hall at Morgan's Bar and Lounge. All ages are welcome in the dance classes.
$20 general admission (cash only)

Instructor Luz Castiñeiras teaches milonga! Luz is a master of milonga, both as a leader and a follower. In this class, she explains the differences between body movement in tango and milonga, even for the most basic steps. She also shows us some of the super-fun milonga figures in her repertoire.
