ONLINE MEETING: Release the past to make space for the future with Death card

Welcome! We meet via Zoom on the Third Thursday of every month.

Join us online to discuss the cards and learn about tarot symbology and archetypes. Over the next 22 months we'll take a look at the Major Arcana, beginning with the Fool and ending with the World card.

The Major Arcana shows the progress on the path of human evolution. Last month we discussed the Hanged Man, key 12, and how taking intentional pauses and choosing to see new perspectives can be enlightening. This month we'll take a look at the Death card, key 13, and go deep into the Underworld to experience the darkness and explore the mysteries below the surface. By accepting change and letting go of our past, we open the door to the future.

The Death card, key 13, invites you to let go of outdated patterns, mourn and move on from loss, leave the past behind, and reinvent yourself. When you pick the Death card, it doesn't mean physical death: It means a release of the ego, a surrender to the inevitable end, a pruning of the energy that no longer serves your best interests... and while change often feels scary and pruning sounds painful: Your life flourishes after you remove the old dead stuff.

Rather than the morbid archetype often depicted in movies, the Death card is about participating in your own Spiritual awakening. Releasing old beliefs and patterns is a profound purification process that leads to change.

While suffering loss can feel challenging, it's necessary to let go of old things. The loss makes space for new things that are coming next. In this way, Death is a blessing that helps you evolve, growing stronger and more Spiritually connected.

Death is not necessarily a negative card. Change is often for the best.

Death is a powerful reminder that everything is temporary. Change is constant in life. This card can indicate that something in your life is coming to an end. Some situation, relationship, or aspect of your life is ready to come to its natural conclusion in order for new growth to occur.

Death is an ongoing process of endings and beginnings, birth and rebirth, change and transformation. Life is magical and beautiful, but it is limited by time. Death makes every moment precious.
