Unnatural Selection Series: Part IV "Our Next Generation"

Huge advancements in gene editing tools, such as CRISPR, have launched us into a brave new world, giving almost anyone the ability to manipulate their own or another's genome, and with that the capability to forever change the trajectory of human evolution. The Cap City Biohackers will host a monthly event where we will view an episode from the new Netflix 4-part documentary, "Unnatural Selection". This month we will be viewing the fourth segment (out of 4 total). These episodes are easy to pick up on so if you've missed previous viewings, don't worry about it! This will be followed by a provocative group discussion unpacking the pros and cons of gene editing, among other topics, which will likely lead us to one of the most important ethical questions in modern medicine and technology, "just because we can, does that mean we should?"
