As a volunteer-driven, community-led initiative, we’re committed to empowering members through shared learning, open dialogue, and diverse perspectives, while opening doors to career, educational, and social opportunities that showcase their AI/ML talents.

In today’s world, we’re inundated with content claiming to offer the “best” tools or the “optimal path to value”—often without understanding who they’re actually talking to. This leaves individuals investing time and resources into tools, skills, or systems that may not truly address their needs. We recognize that the ML stack is too broad for any one person or team to master entirely, and the industry moves quickly. That’s why hearing from those who’ve been in the hot seat across different roles is so valuable—it helps us understand how to better build for, support, or collaborate with other teams.

Pizza and Soda provided.Join us at Code Talent for our Local Expert speaker series featuring Elliot Sequeira as he discusses "The Test Pyramid Survives. The Assertion Doesn't. LLM-as-a-judge at every layer of the AI test pyramid."
Every engineer knows the testing pyramid: a wide base of fast unit tests, fewer integration tests above, a handful of end-to-end tests at the top. It has outlasted every major shift in how we build software.
Then a language model enters the system, and exactly one piece of it stops working. Not the shape — the assertion. `assert output == expected` has no meaning when the output is a paragraph.
Join Elliot (QE/QA/SDT/Leadership) for a session on that transition: what the testing pyramid becomes when the system under test is both deterministic and non-deterministic, and why LLM-as-a-judge is the one assertion primitive cheap enough to run at every layer of it. We'll walk the pyramid three times — the classic version, the AI version with a new foundation band underneath it, and the version with a judge operating at every band — then get into the pipeline and the data engineering that make it real.

Kubernetes Workshop Series: Scaling the Kubernetes Mountain

We are bridging the gap between cloud-native infrastructure and the future of AI. Kubernetes is rapidly becoming the backbone of modern AI/ML pipelines, and mastering container orchestration is essential for scaling next-generation workloads. ### 💻 Requirements
#### Hardware & OS
- OS: macOS or Linux (No Windows, please).
- RAM: 8GB is plenty.
- Cloud Infrastructure: We will be running Cloud Kubernetes clusters using provided lab accounts for our main workloads.
#### Software & Accounts
- Docker Desktop: Recommended for local image builds and pushes. You can also use Podman or any other of your favorite container runtimes!
- Docker Hub: A Docker Hub account is recommended for image registry workflows (pushing local images)
- kubectl: Installed and verified via `kubectl version --client` in your terminal.
- IDE: Your choice (VS Code, Vim, Cursor, etc.). Just ensure you can edit YAML comfortably.
#### Recommended Familiarity
- Terminal: Basic navigation (`cd`, `ls`) and CLI usage.
- YAML: Understanding indentation and syntax.
- Containers: High-level grasp of Docker images and runtimes.
