Join Us on Our South Street Seaport Photo Shoot (Sat, June 15, 2024)

Details

Let's meet, have a great time exploring the beautiful photo ops in and around the Seaport, and reconnect at Pier 16 to hang out and discuss the photo shoot.

The South Street Seaport is a designated historic district on the East River in lower Manhattan, just southwest of the Brooklyn Bridge. The area includes cobblestone streets, restored 19th-century buildings, four working historic ships, a maritime museum, a modern rooftop concert venue with panoramic views and aerial perspectives, and an array of places to eat, drink, and be merry.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES

  • Pier 17: Situated at 89 South Street, in the South Street Seaport area of Lower Manhattan, New York City. It’s just a stone’s throw away from the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. There are picturesque views of the East River and the Brooklyn Bridge from this beautiful pier.

  • Seaport Museum: Located at 12 Fulton Street, the Museum preserves and interprets the history of New York as a world port city. Founded in 1967, the Museum includes maritime art, artifacts, gallery, and reference library, a working 19th-century print shop, and four historic sea vessels. Exhibitions, free Historic Ship Tours.

  • Pier 16: Currently, this is the location for four out of five of the Museum's historic ships. With a free Museum ticket and registration, you can take a free tour of the 1885 Wavertree tall ship/freighter and 1908 Ambrose lightship (combo lighthouse and ship). With a free Museum ticket, registration, and $25-50, you can sail on the 1885 Pioneer schooner or ride on the 1930 W.O. Decker tugboat; capacities are 35 and 10, respectively.

  • Pier 15: The southernmost main pier of the South Street Seaport includes the riverside Watermark restaurant and a beautiful roof deck with fantastic views.
