## Tues., April 28th, 2026 @ 7pm-9pm

## AT THE NEW CFAA LOCATION: Futures Explored 2553 R St.,Sacramento CA 95816

## Join the writer’s Workshop on April 28th for a behind-the-scenes Q&A session with independent film producer, R. Scott Reid. As a partner with River Rock Pictures, Reid serves as a Producer and Head of Film Production. Initially a private investor in independent film in 2006, he quickly transitioned to producing films such as When a Man Falls in the Forest starring Sharon Stone, Timothy Hutton, and Dylan Baker. Since that time, he has produced and/or executive produced 16 award-winning films including Cover (NAACP-endorsed), Battle in Seattle starring Charlize Theron and opening at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival, Numb with Matthew Perry, Bachelor Lions starring David Arquette and Jon Lovitz, Bill & Ted Face the Music starring Keanu Reeves, and Never Alone, a truly independent success filmed in Los Angeles during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic — one of only a handful of productions to move forward under lock-down. His most recent project, Disinformation, tells the remarkable true story of General Ion Mihai Pacepa, the highest-ranking Soviet-Bloc defector in history. With his work spanning Berlin, Cannes, SXSW, Sundance, Toronto, and Tribeca, Mr. Reid continues to lead River Rock Films in producing bold, globally resonant, independent stories.CFAA Screenwriter Lab Hosts:David Flanagan is a Sacramento-based author, screenwriter, filmmaker, and creative director with a passion for visual storytelling and narrative craft across all media.
