Volunteer to beautify the West Colfax Neighborhood

The Denver Way is partnering with Extreme Community Makeover (ECM) and Iron Sharp Community Foundation to make an extreme impact on the West Colfax neighborhood of Denver!

Please join us on Saturday, October 7th from 9am-3pm when over 100 volunteers are going to beautify West Colfax neighborhoods and residences through yard work, garden planting, house painting, power washing, graffiti removal, trash pick up, and more.

The heart of both ECM and Iron Sharp is to provide service for areas of the community in the greatest need and to build lasting relationships within the community that extend beyond the date of service. Volunteers are encouraged to get to know the homeowners they’re serving and to maintain the connection to serve and love them as their neighbors.

We will meet at Confluence Ministries, 1400 Quitman Street, Denver, CO 80204 at 9am, get commissioned to homes, and get to work! From 12:30pm-1:00pm all volunteers will gather for lunch at Confluence Ministries then finish up the day from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
Volunteers should wear pants, long sleeves, bandanas, and hats. Bring water/gatorade, work/garden gloves and sunglasses or other eye protection and (if you own them) garden tools that you can fit in your vehicle such as loppers, pruners, rakes, shovels, spades, hoes, weed wackers, pressure washers, trash bags, etc. The homeowners, their neighbors, ECM, and Iron Sharp will provide some tools, and we can always use more so that everyone can get extreme!
