The 2024 Gaskell Ball is SOLD OUT!

Come to Northern California's premier Vintage Ball! Dress to impress, and dance like no one is watching.
The Gaskell Ball is a Victorian ball in the magnificent Scottish Rite Ballroom in Oakland. Dance the night away surrounded by swirling hoop skirts and elegant tailcoats as music provided by the Brassworks Band fills the hall. Dances include waltzes, polkas, mazurkas, schottisches, and patterned dances that are easily taught and danced on the floor. A potluck snack buffet and the famous Gaskell punch are available and you chat with old friends or make new ones over the three band breaks during the evening.
Note that the ball will be starting and ending an hour earlier than in previous years.
