Hike and Community Event in Winder, GA

Hi, it's Angie. Let's get in a Friday afternoon hike followed by a community event in Winder, GA. You can attend the hike and the community event or just one of the two. When you RSVP please let me know what part(s) of the event you plan to attend.

1. Hike at Fort Yargo State Park beginning at 3:00 pm-5:30 ish pm.

We will complete the lake loop inside of Fort Yargo State park for a total of 6 miles. It is an easy and scenic hike. There is little elevation gain and the surface of the trail is wooded and not technical.

There is a $5 parking fee for the park or you can use your GA State Park Pass. We will meet at the Visitor's Center which is just inside the park.

2. Community Event at Jug Tavern Park in Winder from 6 pm to 9 pm. My husband's band is the musical act at the event. Bring a chair and a cooler if you'd like. If you are hiking before, consider a change of clothes.

No pup? No problem! Enjoy food trucks, live music, and plenty of tail-wagging fun for all ages.

There is no fee for the event, but of course, if you want to buy food or other items you will need funds.
