Thanksgiving Morning at Stone Mountain Cherokee Trail and Connector Trail

Hi, it's Angie. Let's burn some calories with a hike in Stone Mountain Park before eating all the Thanksgiving foods!
Plan to arrive early at 6:45 am as we will begin on time at 7:00am. I will not wait on latecomers. This will be a FAST PACE trek; so please be mindful of this when registering.
We will meet near the bathrooms at the walk up trail lot (Confederate Hall) at 6:45 and begin hiking at 7am SHARP! We will complete the Cherokee Trail and the connector trail for a total of 5 miles. We will NOT go up the mountain but around on wooded trails.
There is a $20 parking fee to enter Stone Mountain. You can also purchase a yearly pass for $40. There is free parking outside of the park BUT IT IS YOUR RESPOSIBILITY TO RESEARCH THIS PARKING.
We will keep a fast pace and should be finished in 2 hours. The hike is easy but the pace is quick.
Plan accordingly with travel time as it can be busy in the parking lot and parking can be challenging. I will begin the hike on time at 7 am.
Please reach out with questions prior to the day of the hike as I may not see your message the day of the hike as I will be traveling to the park for the hike.
